Keep your pup warm this winter with a snug dog carrier. This is our classic, well-built dog carrier, but with an extra layer of fabric added to the lining to keep your pup warm.
And, as with all of our carriers –
No 2 dogs are built the same, so I tailor your carrier to fit your pup’s unique measurements.
No 2 dog owners are the same either, so if you would just like the standard carrier, you can do that, but we have lots of “bells and whistles” that you can add to customize your carrier to fit your unique needs.
DOG CARRIER SPECS
- Pick the lining that fits your needs best –
- Flannel – for just a bit of extra protection. For places that don’t get too cold (this is what I use with Max here in Dallas TX.)
- Blizzard Fleece – for that extra thick protection from the cold. For places that get really cold.
- Quilted – Right in the middle – not too thick but definitely offers protection. The real appeal of this one – fur won’t stick to it as much as the flannel or fleece. 🙂
- All 3 lining materials come in 3 colors – black, blue, and red buffalo plaid.
- 25 colors of duck cloth to choose from, so you can mix and match to create your one-of-a-kind pet carrier.
- Cut-out on one end lets your dog see what is going on around you
- 2 outer pockets for carrying a leash, treats or clean-up bags
- A D-Ring for attaching any add-ons – treat pouch, waste bag dispenser, or travel bottle holder
- Adjustable tether with a clip for securing your pet.
- A wood base, slid into a removable, washable, quilted sleeve, forming a platform that gives your dog comfort, support, and room to move around.

Note – many of the carriers in the pictures have “Add-In” features included. This Dog Carrier only includes the basic features listed above. You have 2 options for how to determine your dog’s size and what size carrier to order.

If you would like to use technology to determine the size on your own –

- Follow the written descriptions, pictures, and YouTube video for how to measure your dog.
- Enter your pup’s measurements in the form, and it will let you know what size to order.

If you would like to just measure your dog and have me let you know what size to order –
- Look at the last 2 pictures above.

Do not overestimate your dog’s size. Most dogs feel more secure in a carrier that is a bit snug than getting tossed around in one that is too big.

SUGGESTIONS FOR LARGE DOGS
These are only suggestions based on feedback we have gotten from pet parents who have used our large carriers, and what has worked best for them. Ultimately, the customizations you make to your carrier are up to you.
FOR ALL LARGE DOG CARRIERS:
- To make it easier to get your large dog into and out of the carrier, we suggest the Walk In Zipper
IF YOU PLAN TO USE THE CARRIER TO ACTUALLY CARRY YOUR DOG AROUND ON YOUR SHOULDER:

- To help the carrier sit level when carrying your pup on your shoulder, we do suggest at least 1 Adjustable Shoulder Strap
- To help prevent the outside strap from slipping off your shoulder (as well as make carrying a large dog more comfortable) we do suggest the Quilted Strap Pad
* Please note, The standard drop from the top of the shoulder strap to the top of the carrier is 12″, and we make our carriers about 2″ taller than your pup’s height. Therefore, your pups’ height plus 14″ will be the distance from the top of your shoulder to the bottom of the carrier. Let me know if you want to adjust the length of the shoulder straps.
IF YOU PLAN TO WALK YOUR DOG ON LEASH, AND USE THE CARRIER ONLY WHEN STATIONARY (ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, ETC):

- To make it easier for you to carry the dog carrier empty while walking your dog on leash, we suggest the Backpack Carrying Straps
- To make it easier for you to lift your carrier and dog by hand (rather than trying to lift them by the shoulder straps), we suggest the Grab Handles

2 - CUSTOMIZE YOUR CARRIER TO FIT YOUR STYLE
From the color chart above –
- Pick which winter lining you would like in your carrier – which material and which color (flannel, winter fleece, or quilted in black, blue, or red plaid)
- Pick the fabric colors for the top, bottom, and pockets of your carrier .
- Pick the handle and trim colors. I have cream, navy, and black in stock. If you want another color, contact me and I can check with my supplier.

Nikki did an amazing job on the carrier I ordered for my Dachshund! You can tell she’s very talented and takes great care in her craft as the stitching and construction of the carrier were very high quality. We use the carrier to safely carry our dog on a Vespa, and I haven’t found another carrier like this on the market that meets all our needs.
